Questions? Answered.

What data does this extension use?

All data comes from U.S. Department of Labor OFLC Performance Data — specifically, the Labor Condition Application (LCA) disclosure files. These are public government records updated quarterly.

Does an LCA filing mean a company will sponsor me?

Not necessarily. An LCA filing shows that a company has filed for H-1B workers in the past, but it doesn't guarantee sponsorship for future positions. Always confirm directly with the employer during your application or interview.

What does "H-1B Dependent" mean?

A company is H-1B dependent when H-1B workers make up a significant portion of their workforce (15%+ for companies with 25+ employees). Dependent employers face additional obligations including good-faith recruitment of U.S. workers and non-displacement attestations.

Is my browsing data sent anywhere?

No. The entire employer database is bundled inside the extension. Searches happen locally on your machine — nothing is sent to any external server. Your job search activity stays completely private.

How often is the data updated?

Currently, data is updated with each new extension version. We're working on quarterly automatic refreshes (see our roadmap) so you'll always have the latest DOL filings without manual updates.

Does this work on Firefox or Safari?

Right now it's Chrome-only (works on any Chromium browser like Edge and Brave too). Firefox and Safari support may come in future updates.
